Erasers & fridge magnets in food form

Some erasers and refrigerator magnets come in shapes that look  or smell like food, making them attractive to younger children who could mistake them for the real thing.

Parents and carers should keep erasers and fridge magnets that look and/or smell like food out of reach of young children who can:

• choke after placing them in their mouths 
• suffer injuries from magnets that can splinter in the mouth — splintered parts can lodge in the mouth or throat 
• suffer poisoning after chewing on or swallowing an eraser or magnet containing toxic material.
