Do consumers who are selling a used second-hand pram or stroller have to make sure that it complies with the mandatory standard?

Answer

No. Only businesses supplying second prams or strollers in trade or commerce have to ensure they meet safety requirements. But if you are selling or giving away an old pram or stroller it is wise, for the protection of others, to ensure that it has:

  • all parts in good working order
  • instructions for assembly
  • instructions for safe use.
