Tests and ban on gas masks containing asbestos

Gas masks with General Service Respirator filters were tested in the 1960s and found to contain asbestos that people could breathe in. Gas masks with these filters were over 40 years old when tested, suggesting it is highly unlikely they are available for purchase today. But even as collectables, supply of these products is banned.
