Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)

Description

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is a Division of the Department of Health and Ageing. It is responsible for administering the provisions of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989. Broadly, this involves undertaking activities to ensure that therapeutic goods available in Australia are of an acceptable standard. The TGA safeguards public health & safety in Australia by regulating medicines, medical devices, blood & tissues.
