I am a service agent involved in installation/repair/removal of goods. Does the mandatory reporting obligation apply to me?

Answer

Yes. The mandatory reporting obligation applies to all parties in a supply chain, including those involved in service as well as sales. This means that, if you are a service agent and you become aware of an incident involving a consumer good you service that resulted in death, serious injury or illness, you have two days to lodge a report with the ACCC.
