Proposed new safety standard for the supply of portable swimming pools

Published

In 2011, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) commenced work on a proposed safety standard for mandatory labelling of portable swimming pools.

A draft regulatory proposal was sent to stakeholders outlining the reasons for the proposed regulation and a copy of the draft labelling requirements were attached.

A draft safety standard has now been prepared and is available for comment.

Stakeholders were invited to make written submissions on the proposed safety standard by 29 October 2012. Issues raised through the submission process are currently being assessed by the ACCC.

The draft is available below to download in PDF format.
