Ohlins Racing AB aftermarket steering damper bracket for BMW S1000RR motorcycles
Reasons the product is recalled
The steering bracket may crack during use.
The hazards to consumers
Although there is no risk of losing control during normal riding, there is a risk that the bracket will fail when manoeuvring the bike with the steering on full lock.
What consumers should do
Consumers should remove the steering damper and return the bracket to the distributor. The consumer will get a new bracket in return. (The new bracket has been heat treated in a different way from the original bracket.)
