There is a risk that a capacitor inside the battery can overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers.

What consumers should do
Fully discharge the battery and remove it from the laptop. Return battery to point of purchase for replacement. Consumers can continue to use the laptop by plugging in the AC adaptor to mains power supply until the battery pack is replaced.
