Consultation for the review of the mandatory standard for child car restraints

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is reviewing the mandatory safety standard for child restraints for use in motor vehicles. This is the second round of consultation. To see information on the first consultation, view the November 2013 consultation.

This consultation proposes to change the way the ACCC supports the safety of children in motor vehicles using state and territory road user regulation and the voluntary Australian Standard (AS/NZS 1753).

Stakeholders are invited to make written submissions on the consultation paper by close of business Friday 18 July 2014.
