Consumer Protection Western Australia is reminding parents and carers of young children about the potential risk of infants drowning in shallow portable pools this summer.

Portable swimming pools pose a serious drowning risk to children. To combat this risk, Royal Life Saving, ACCC and consumer affairs agencies around Australia have collaborated on a portable pool safety campaign called “Make It Safe” in the lead up to Christmas and the summer period.
