The powerboards do not comply with numerous requirements of Australian safety standards and are not approved for sale in Australia.
The hazards to consumers
Certain models do not provide a satisfactory earthing connection for Class I (earthed) equipment and a user could consequently receive an electric shock.
What consumers should do
Customers should immediately stop using the powerboards and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Customers requiring further information should call Sedy Hardware on (03) 9988 3352 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
