Reasons the product is recalled

Due to a suspected manufacturing fault, the product has failed to comply with the mandatory standard for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age because the batteries are accessible without the use of a tool, or two independent movements of the battery compartment lid. Specifically the screw that holds the battery compartment cover in place may become loose.

The hazards to consumers

Children may gain access to the AAA batteries, which are small parts, presenting a potential choking hazard.

What consumers should do

Consumers should cease using the plush toy immediately. Customers can return the toy to the place of purchase or to any ABC shop for a full refund.
