Hollis & Oceanic diaphragm style regulators sold or serviced between October 1, 2017 and May 25, 2018 with a new HP Poppet
Reasons the product is recalled
Diaphragm style regulators may significantly restrict airflow at low tank pressures (below 500 psi). Any regulator with the new HP Poppet must be fitted with the new style.
The hazards to consumers
If the airflow is significantly restricted at low tank pressures there is a risk of drowning.
What consumers should do
Consumers with a Hollis or Hollis regulator bearing a serial number shown on the list, or a regulator that has been serviced since September of 2017 should call their local authorised Hollis or Oceanic dealer or return the regulator back to the place of purchase.
