The cot does not comply with the mandatory Australian standard, AS/NZS 2172:2003 Cots for household use—safety and performance requirements.
The hazards to consumers
The cot failed to comply with the various design, safety and performance and marking requirements of the mandatory standard. The product poses numerous risks, including suffocation and entrapment hazards, to infants using this product.
What consumers should do
All affected customers should:
• stop using the cot immediately
• not re-gift or sell any used cots
• contact Gl4ever Pty Ltd to arrange for their cots to be collected and destroyed (at Gl4ever Pty Ltd's expense) and a full-refund for the cost of the cot.
