Tests show that the products contain "free" formaldehyde in excess of the level considered safe.
The hazards to consumers
Formaldehyde is known to cause sensory irritation and skin sensitisation. Formaldehyde may also cause cancer in circumstances where there is chronic high exposure.
What consumers should do
Stop using the products immediately and return them to the place of purchase for a refund or a replacement. Alternatively, customers will be contacted by a sales representative whereupon the faulty goods will be replaced.
