Deere & Company / John Deere Limited — John Deere XUV590 Gator Utility Vehicles

XUV590
XUV590 S4

What are the defects?

The powertrain mounting hardware may have been only hand tightened, and not torqued to the proper specification. If the hardware falls out it may lead to the engine rocking during acceleration, and pinching of the throttle cable.

What are the hazards?

If this occurs, it can result in the throttle being stuck open and operators not being able to stop the vehicle with the brakes.

What should consumers do?

Affected owners should stop using their machine until it is repaired.

John Deere will contact all affected owners to inform them of the situation. Consumers should contact their nearest John Deere dealer to arrange for the inspection and repair of the machine. For help locating a dealer consumers can go to https://dealerlocator.deere.com/servlet/country=AU.
