Reasons the product is recalled
The recall is for grips which can come loose in some circumstances. The remedy for this issue is to fit new grips with adhesive which are available in a kit supplied by Echelon Sports from 3T.
The hazards to consumers
Hazard: The two rubber hand grips on the aerobars (handle bars) can loosen or slip off during use, causing a fall or injury hazard to the rider.
What consumers should do
Consumers should contact their local dealer where they purchased the bars, if they haven't already been contacted by the dealer. The dealer will then have the Grip Fix Kit sent to them or the dealer will install the new grip kit on the bars for the consumer.
