All Power-Ped Mantis Li Electric Bicycles with serial numbers beginning either RPO8036*** or RPF8*****. This serial number can be located either on the head-stem of the frame above the front forks (RPO8036***) or on the left-hand side of the bottom-bracket next to the pedal crank (RPF8*****). Distributed throughout Australia by Electric Vehicles Pty Ltd from 1 June 2008 to 15 February 2009.
Reasons the product is recalled
A potential fracture point in the frame has been identified in certain cases.

What consumers should do
Do not continue to ride until effective repairs have been conducted on the bicycle. Continuing to ride the bicycle may result in loss of bicycle control and potentially serious injury to the rider under certain conditions. Contact the retailer from whom you purchased the bicycle and return the unit. You will then receive a Return Authorisation number allowing the replacement process to commence.
