What are the defects?

The driver airbag inflator in your vehicle may rupture, due to excessive internal pressure during normal airbag deployment events. This condition may occur if the vehicle has been exposed to high levels of absolute humidity for extended periods of time.

What are the hazards?

In the event of an airbag inflator rupture, metal fragments could possibly shoot out, straight through the airbag cushion material towards the vehicle occupants causing serious injury or fatality.

What should consumers do?

FCA Australia will notify owners who can take their vehicle to a Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership where the vehicle will be repaired.
