The Playtex Hip Hammock is an infant carrier designed to strap the baby against the caregiver's body at the hip. It is made of a soft, quilted fabric and intended for babies that are from 15 to 35 pounds (approximately 6.5 to 16kg). The child seat is attached with straps that wrap around the carrier's hips and shoulder. "Playtex Hip Hammock" is printed on a label sewn into the front of the carrier. They come in basic and deluxe styles. The hip hammock's fabric is suede or ultra-suede in black or navy colours on the outside, and the inside lining is black, black and white check or burgundy.

The buckles on the waist and shoulder strap may crack or break.
The hazards to consumers
If the buckles crack or break, the Hip Hammock poses a potential fall hazard to infants.
What consumers should do
Consumers should immediately cease using the Hip Hammock and contact Energizer on 1800 810 310 for a full refund.
