Serial Nos. 760001~760030, O60001~O60015, N60001~N60040, 170001~170147, 570001~570120. The serial numbers of the products affected by the recall are set out on the Hitachi name plate affixed to all genuine Hitachi products (see image below). The planers were sold in all Australian states and territories from September 2006.
Reasons the product is recalled
The anti-kickback device requires re-positioning and re-configuration to provide optimum protection to the operator in the unlikely event of workpiece kickback.
