Jaguar Land Rover Australia—Range Rover and Range Rover Sport 2013 & 2014 MY Vehicles
What are the defects?
The Brake Vacuum Hose may be incorrectly installed. Incorrect routing of the brake vacuum hose can lead to a chafing condition, eventual rupture of the hose and complete loss of vacuum assistance in the braking system.
What are the hazards?
Vehicle braking distance may be increased, potentially causing a vehicle crash.
What should consumers do?
Owners will be notified and instructed to take their vehicles to a Land Rover authorised repairer who will re-position the brake vacuum hose to the correct routing. The technician will also put the double 'C' clip in the correct orientation and position.
