Bunk bed with underneath desk & shelves
Reasons the product is recalled
The product does not comply with mandatory safety standard for bunk beds, AS/NZS 4220:1994. The gap at the end of the bed allows a 230mm probe to enter but cannot be withdrawn between the top shelf above the desk and the side of the bunk.
The hazards to consumers
The bunk bed poses an entrapment hazard.
What consumers should do
Le Cornu stores have ceased trading, however Fantastic Holdings are continuing to conduct the recall. Consumers will need to email customerservice@lecornu.com.au or call 02 9914 3105 to arrange remediation.
