The pocket bike does not comply with the requirements set out in Consumer Protection Notice No. 24 of 2011. There is a permanent ban on minature motorbikes with unsafe design features.
The hazards to consumers
Non-conformities in the braking system and footpegs may result in loss of control at speed, possibly causing serious injury or death.
What consumers should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the miniature motor bikes and contact Mayman Pty Ltd (ACN 149 5700 605) for either an exchange or a full refund of the purchase price.
