Formaldehyde is known to cause sensory irritation and skin sensitisation. Formaldehyde may also cause cancer in circumstances where there is chronic high exposure.
The hazards to consumers
Tests show that the product contains free formaldehyde in excess of the level considered safe.
What consumers should do
Stop using the product immediately and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
