What are the defects?

The electronic brake booster (EBB) may be incorrectly set up, and may not operate correctly.

What are the hazards?

If the EBB does not operate correctly, the following may occur:

1. Cruise control cannot be set;
2. The stop lamp remains on even when not braking;
3. Flat battery;
4. More pressure needs to be applied when braking and an increase in the vehicle's stopping distance.

This may increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death of vehicle occupants and other road users.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted and asked to arrange an appointment for inspection and repair, free of charge.
