What are the defects?
The flashlights’ rechargeable lithium-ion batteries can overheat.
What are the hazards?
If the lithium-ion batteries overheat and discharge their contents, there is a risk of fire.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should stop using the products, dispose of the battery* and return the flashlight to Coleman Brands for a full refund. Further information about disposal and return of the flashlight for a refund is available to consumers by contacting Coleman Brands by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone on 1800 224 350.
*Rechargeable batteries are a hazardous waste and should not be placed in the garbage bin. Consumers should search Planet Ark’s ‘Recycling near you’ website (www.recyclingnearyou.com.au) or call the recycling hotline on 1300 733 712 to locate their nearest drop-off point.
