Volkswagen Group Australia will contact owners of affected vehicles in writing. Owners can make an appointment at a Volkswagen dealership to have the technical measures applied to their vehicles. While most vehicles will only require a software update, some vehicles will also have a minor hardware update. These updates take less than 1 hour and are free of charge.
