Why the product is recalled
Due to incompatibility between the front suspension struts and the vehicle top mount, the strut pins may fatigue under maximum steering, and break.
What the hazards are to consumers
If the pin fails, the strut will separate from the vehicle and front wheel control will be lost, increasing the risk of an accident causing injury or death to the vehicle occupants and other road users.
What consumers should do
Consumers should contact Öhlins to arrange for replacement suspension struts and top mount. Öhlins will cover the cost of installation of the replacement kit.
