Reason the product is recalled
The charger has not been tested to relevant Australian/New Zealand electrical standards:
- AS/NZS 61558.2.16:2022 - Safety of transformers, reactors, power supply units and combinations thereof , Part 2.16: Particular requirements and tests for switch mode power supply units and transformers for switch mode power supply units for general applications
- AS/NZS 3112:2017 Amd 1:2021 - Approval and test specification — Plugs and socket-outlets
The hazards to consumers
There is a risk of serious injury or death from an electrical shock. There is also a risk of damage to property if the charger catches fire.
What consumers should do
Consumers should stop using the charger immediately.
Contact Adreno to arrange either:
- a replacement charger to be sent, with additional USB charging lead, by submitting a recall replacement request via the online form.
- return of the charger and torch to your closest Adreno outlet for a full refund.
