Reason the product is recalled
The swim ring does not comply with the mandatory standard Consumer Protection Notice No 2 of 2009 Consumer Product Safety Standard for Flotation Toys and Aquatic Toys. The rings do not carry the required statement that the product is not a lifesaving device, or the required warning that the toy should only be used in shallow water and under supervision.
The hazards to consumers
Users may not be aware of important safety information. There is an increased risk of drowning if the products are not used as intended.
What consumers should do
