What are the defects?
The affected bicycles contain a steel fork-steerer which may break at the lower steerer tube.
What are the hazards?
Breakage of the fork-steerer may cause serious injury or death to the user if the defect occurs while the bicycle is in use.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should stop using the bicycle immediately and contact their local Merida retailer to have a replacement fork fitted.
