Reason the product is recalled

One of the towbar fitting components may be incorrect (spacer tube) and may cause movement between the towbar arm and vehicle chassis. Continual movement between the towbar arm and chassis may cause damage to the vehicle chassis.

The hazards to consumers

If the defect occurs, and a caravan or heavy trailer is being towed, heightened movement of the towbar may lead to an accident hazard for the driver or other road users.

Vehicle owners should immediately stop using the towbar and contact Allin Towbars to organise a vehicle inspection and replacement of fitting components
