Nanodots are a powerful magnetic cluster of metal balls that can be formed into magnetic structures.
Reasons the product is recalled
The product exceeds the maximum allowable magnetic flux index for small, high powered magnets, as set by the permanent ban on such products prescribed in Consumer Protection Notice No 5 of 2012.
The hazards to consumers
If a child swallows more than one small high powered magnet, the magnets can stick together across the walls of the child's intestine or other digestive tissue, which can lead to internal injuries and even death.
What consumers should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and return it to Alpha Flight Services Pty Ltd for a full refund.
