A sleigh-style cot that converts to a toddler bed and a daybed.
What are the defects?
The product does not comply with the mandatory standard 'Trade Practices Act 1974. Consumer Protection Notice No. 6 of 2005 Consumer Product Safety Standard: Children's Household Cots'. The product is not compliant with the standard because of non-compliant gaps between parts of the cot, the drop-side not being able to slide freely down to the open position and the cot labelling failing the durability test.
What are the hazards?
Non-compliant gaps create an entrapment hazard that could seriously injure an infant.
What should consumers do?
Consumers who have purchased this cot will be contacted by mail or email. Consumers should stop using the cot immediately and contact the supplier (American Boss Deals) about receiving a refund.
