Reason the product is recalled
The rubber handle may separate from the plastic Sure Lock II weight pocket assembly.
The hazards to consumers
If the defect occurs during a dive, the weight pocket would be left engaged inside the buoyancy control device, and this may pose a drowning hazard to the diver.
What consumers should do
Consumers who have the affected model should follow the following procedure:
Immediately stop using buoyancy control devices with Sure Lock II weight pockets. Take the pockets to your nearest authorized Aqua Lung Dive Retailer or Dive Center. The replacement is made under warranty and there will be no charge to consumers.
