What are the defects?
Product labelling on the outer packaging is not compliant with the relevant mandatory safety standard. Inner labels and instructions for use are compliant with the requirements of the mandatory standard.
What are the hazards?
Absence of warnings or inconsistent information in labelling could result in the strap being used in an unsafe manner or the incorrect recovery kit being purchased.
What should consumers do?
Consumers who have purchased an ARB RK9 or R11 for a vehicle which has a GVM outside the range of 2666kg - 4000kg should return the kit to the place of purchase for a refund or to exchange the snatch strap for an appropriately rated snatch strap.
