Aluminium seat box with 75mm aluminium tube welded to a top plate for the purpose of mounting a seat base pivot.
What are the defects?
Under very heavy loads it is possible for the seat box weld to fatigue and crack.
What are the hazards?
If the seat box tube fails completely the seat could detach from the seat box and pose a fall hazard to consumers.
What should consumers do?
