Berger Paints Solarscreen Exterior Low Sheen Red in 4L cans, sold only from 25 September to 17 October 2018 in South Australia and Victoria
Reasons the product is recalled
The cans may have a fine wire thread protruding from the top seam (see above photo).
The hazards to consumers
A person trying to pull a thread off with a bare hand may receive a minor cut.
What consumers should do
If there is no thread protruding at the top of the can, the product is not affected. If there is a protruding thread, the consumer should remove it wearing leather or lined thick rubber gloves, or by using a pair of pliers. Consumers should not try to remove the thread with a bare hand.
Alternatively, consumers can return the product to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement.
