A batch of diesel supplied to BP on December 21 and on sale through forty BP Service Stations in Victoria between nine o'clock on the morning of December 21 and five o'clock on the afternoon of December 23.
Reasons the product is recalled
While vehicles using this diesel will run normally and safely it is more flammable than normal specification diesel and therefore extra care should be taken in relation to storage and handling.
What consumers should do
Customers who have purchased diesel to store for use at some time in the future; use in marine craft fuel tanks; and use for any other purpose not related to consumption in an internal combustion engine, should call toll free number 1800 44 44 53.
