In some circumstances one of the gas feeder pipes may corrode.
The hazards to consumers
If the faulty gas feeder pipe corrodes, gas may leak out causing a fire hazard.
What consumers should do
Cease using the barbecue, turn the gas off at the source and then contact the Smeg Service Team on +1800 837 381 between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm.
Alternatively, customers can send an email to bbqrecall@smeg.com.au or visit the SMEG website and fill in the recall form to have the pipe repaired.
