Reason the product is recalled
The 5 quart / 28cm glass lid with identifying number "IMCP1108" is the only item out of the 13 pieces of cookware affected by the manufacturing fault. All other pots, pans and associated lids are unaffected and can be safely used by consumers.
The hazards to consumers
There is a risk that a glass lid could crack, break or shatter under normal use due to a manufacturing fault.
What consumers should do
Costco members who purchased the cookware set after 13 September 2011 should check for the identifying number, "IMCP1108", stamped on the metal rim of the affected 5 quart / 28cm glass lids. Lids marked with this number should not be used.
Members who would like to obtain a replacement should send the faulty lid to:
