What are the defects?
The paddle can suddenly break mid-shaft during use, exposing sharp edges.
What are the hazards?
If the paddle breaks while in use, this poses a risk of a puncture wound or lacerations.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should stop using the paddle. Consumers can either:
1. Return the waveboard and paddle to a Costco Warehouse for a full refund.
2. Receive a free protective neoprene sleeve that can be installed over the paddle shaft to protect them from a risk of injury when paddling.
