Carpet seaming irons used to melt thermoplastic adhesives on carpet installation tapes.
What are the defects?
The cord of these irons could wear prematurely, causing a short circuit within the cord.
What are the hazards?
There could be a short circuit within the cord during use, causing electrocution and/or a burn hazard.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should immediately stop using the irons and return them to the Crain distributor where they were purchased for a full refund.
