What are the defects?
The products do not comply with the Consumer Protection Notice No. 13 of 2003 and No. 4 of 2005. The products do not have appropriate labelling identifying lens category, description or compliance information.
What are the hazards?
Consumers need to be informed through labelling what level of protection the sunglasses provide. The incorrect level of protection can result in vision impairment, or exposure to very high levels of sunlight.
What should consumers do?
Consumers who purchased an affected product should stop using it immediately and return it to any Daiso store for a full refund or exchange.
