Reason the product is recalled
The products contain concentrations of hydrogen peroxide and/or carbamide peroxide in excess of the recognised safe limits of 6% w/w and 18% w/w respectively, as set by the Poisons Standard 2011, expert clinical advice, and published scientific risk assessments.
The hazards to consumers
The user may suffer irritation or inflammation to the gums and mouth due to the excessively high concentrations of peroxides in the products.
