Internal fault may cause the isolators to fail, causing excessive heat.

There is a potential risk of fire from faulty contacts within the internal mechanism of this switch.
What consumers should do
Origin Energy has made contact with nearly all of the affected customers and will continue to reach out to the remaining households. Customers are advised to isolate their system by following the shutdown instructions located on their inverter or switchboard. Origin has mobilised licensed electricians as a matter of priority to inspect the affected systems and replace the isolators if required at no charge.
