If used as a sensory toy, the unexpanded balls may be swallowed and create a gastrointestinal blockage as they expand in the gut.
The hazards to consumers
If swallowed, the balls can become large enough to create a gastrointestinal blockage causing vomiting, severe discomfort and dehydration and may need to be surgically removed.
What consumers should do
Consumers should cease using the Discovery Giant Sensory Water Beads as toys or playthings immediately. If consumers suspect their child has swallowed these water balls, they should seek medical attention immediately.
Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
