Reason the product is recalled
With use, the stitching on the edge of the “blanket” section of the toy may become frayed and expose the polyster filling. In addition, the loops on the corners of the blanket may become loose and form small parts, thereby breaching the mandatory standard for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age, AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2002 (as amended by the regulation).
The hazards to consumers
If the stitching becomes loose and/or the loops on the corners of the blanket form small parts, these defects may pose a choking hazard if ingested by children.
What consumers should do
Customers should immediately cease using the product and return it to any BIG W store for a full refund.
