Reasons the product is recalled
The product does not comply with the Australian electrical safety standard:
- The metallic wall mount section cover is not earthed.
- The pull cord for the oscillation on/off switch has been routed incorrectly and when in use, could cause mechanical damage to the internal wiring.
The hazards to consumers
Risk of electric shock, which can cause serious injury or death.
What consumers should do
Consumers should disconnect and stop using the fan immediately. Consumers should return the fan to the place of purchase for a full refund.
